Derwent College – York

One of York’s founding colleges, we’re named after the River Derwent and are home to around 600 residents and 2,200 student members who are all “Derwent ‘til they die”!

We’re also one of the most beautifully situated colleges at the University, surrounded by wide open lawns, a picturesque lake and plenty of wonderful waterfowl.

Once home to York’s most famous campus resident, Long Boi, our community of ducks, geese, swans and moorhens always welcome a visit (and birdseed) from a friend.
